Standing Committees
Standing Committees consist of elected members of the Board of Trustees.
Communications and Community Relations
Chairperson – Trustee Chris Mitchell Member (s) – Trustee Lauren DeJesu
Focus:This committee focuses on improving Village communications with residents and creating special events to improve intra-community relations.
Environment & Open Space Chairperson – Trustee Lauren DeJesu Member (s) – Trustee Chris Mitchell
Focus:This committee focuses on environmental enhancement initiatives and the management of Village-owned open space.
Finance, Human Resources and Economic Development
Chairperson – Trustee David Raclaw Member (s) – Village President Richardson
Focus:This committee oversees Village finances (expense management) and economic development (revenue generation) as well as staff human resources issues.
Gated Communities
Chairperson – Trustee John Schaller Member (s) – Trustee Andrew Burke
Focus:This committee will review and implement initiatives focused on enabling the Village to improve services to private gated communities within Lake Barrington.
Intergovernmental & External Relations
Chair – Village President Richardson
Focus:Liaison with other other governmental entities at the local, township, county, state and federal level as well as with corresponding NGO, corporate, civic and charitable entities.
Public Safety Chair – Trustee John Schaller Member(s) - Trustee Connie Schofield
Focus:Liaison with Lake County Sheriff and the Barrington-countryside Fire Protection District along with responsibility for the Village Emergency Management Plan.
Roads & Infrastructure
Chair – Trustee Andrew Burke
Focus:Roads and related infrastructure along with drainage and culvert repair.
Village Hall & Grounds
Chair – Trustee Connie Schofield
Focus:Oversight of all maintenance of Village Hall and the related Village Hall grounds.
Specially-Appointed Advisory Committees
Specially-Appointed Advisory Committees consist of non-elected LakeBarrington residents who possess specialized experience or skills on issues of importance to the community.These Advisory Committees provide advised and expertise on a voluntary basis to the Village President and Village Board but do not determine or set policy.
Community Health & Wellness

Focus:To identify and undertake activities which promote community wellness and fitness.
Technology
Chair – Paul Struck

Focus:To create a technology plan for the Village that focuses on improving communication and webifying targeted Village processes.

Focus:Developing potential Village efforts to aid local businesses which may require and benefit from specialized Village Assistance in periods of economic distress along with a corresponding plan to address problems and issues arising out of vacant, foreclosed residential properties.
