NOVEMBER VILLAGE E-NEWS
Garbage and recycling pick up will be on Wednesday, November 27, the week of Thanksgiving.
Yard waste pick up ends November 27, 2013 and resumes in April 2014. Yard waste is picked up the same days as regular garbage. Leaves, grass clippings, small twigs and landscape debris should be bagged in biodegradable paper yard waste bags available at numerous retail outlets. A sticker must be applied to each bag. The sticker cost is $1.75 each, on sale at Village Hall, Pasquesi Home & Gardens, and ReMax NOW in the Market Place (formerly Lake Barrington Realty).
Brush and branch material should be placed at the curb in bundles not exceeding two (2) feet in diameter and four (4) feet in length and tied with string or twine. Waste Management will not collect brush and branches that are not bundled. Branches should not exceed 3" in diameter. A sticker must be applied to each bundle. If you have any questions regarding branch/brush collection, please do not hesitate to contact Waste Management at (800) 796-9696.

The Lake Barrington Shores Community is set to open their doors this holiday season for their annual “Holiday Arts and Gift Show”. Over 40 talented vendors will be selling their unique items ranging from jewelry to holiday décor, from accessories to fine art along with much, much more. Complimentary tasty treats are served to the public during this event. On Friday night make sure to stop by the chocolate fountain and on Saturday indulge your inner child with the old fashioned candy bar.
The show runs on Friday, November 8th from 6:00pm – 9:00pm and on Saturday, November 9th from 9:00am – 2:00pm at the Lake Barrington Shores Recreation Center at 64 Old Barn Rd. Lake Barrington, IL 60010. All shoppers must enter through the entrance on Route 59 between Miller and Kelsey Rd. There is no entrance fee for the show.

CUBA TOWNSHIP FOOD PANTRY COLLECTION
The Veterans of Lake Barrington Shores will sponsor a food donation drive in conjunction with the annual Veterans Day 2013 Program. The objective is to insure eligible residents of Cuba Township have the food needed to have a complete meal during the 2013 Holiday Season.
Did you know?
ü The Cuba Township food pantry is maintained by the Township as part of state mandated duties.
ü Taxpayer dollars are not used to stock the pantry
ü All items in the pantry are donated
Non-expired, non-perishable food and household items are appreciated.
The suggested donation wish list is:

Bring your donations of Non-expired, non-perishable food and household items to the Veterans Day Program on November 11, 2013 @ 11:00 A.M.in the Ball Room of the Recreation Center.
There will be a donation box for early drop off in Village Hall
at 23860 N. Old Barrington Road beginning November 3rd--8th 2013 from 8am – 3pm
