The Village of Lake Barrington is rather unique in that it provides most of its municipal services by contractual arrangement either with other public entities or through private sector consultants and businesses. This has allowed the Village to maintain rigorous cost control over public services and has provided a degree of flexibility in using personnel when and where they are needed.
