This includes but is not limited to remodeling, room additions, pools, fences, patios, decks, gazebos, sprinkler systems, sheds, etc. Permits are required for roofing tear-offs. Inspections are required for most construction projects during and after completion to be certain that the work is following the Lake Barrington Municipal Code and that no damage has occurred to the roads and right-of-ways as a result of the construction project.  Please contact the Building Permit Coordinator at 847-381-6010 if you have questions regarding whether or not your project requires a permit.
